The Indonesian dancers can perform various traditional dancing styles originating from West-Java, Bali, Sumatra and Kalimantan. The West-Javanese dance named Nandak Ganjen is characterised by chearful and happy music, where the dance shows the everyday life of lively and flirty young ladies. The Tari Cendrawasih is a Balinesian dance, where the dance movements mimic that of the mating ritual dance that birds perform. The likeness to birds can be seen in the beautiful head dress and elegant wide yellow skirt which represents wings.
